Mod «Reactive World» for Kenshi
This mod enhances the world reaction systems by adding effects to locations and factions that lack them, or by adding more detail to existing vanilla interactions. It includes a character at Waystations for checking world states to assist with debugging, as well as a character spawner to locate bugged NPCs.
The mod incorporates Unique Settlement Placements to improve compatibility with other mods. This integration is direct, so downloading the original is not required.
Notable effects include:
- Dust Bandits engage in a civil war over leadership if the Dust King is defeated. They occupy nearby ruins for headquarters and fight each other in the wilderness. Defeating all upstart leaders causes the Dust Bandits to disband entirely.
- Mongrel and other locations may fall to the Fogmen under certain conditions.
- The Western Hive becomes aggressive if their Queen is kidnapped, driven solely by the goal of rescuing her without mercy for obstacles.
- The Hub can be rebuilt under the Shek Kingdom or Holy Nation if they capture territory from each other. This includes dialog to guide the player through the repair stages.
- Cannibals are divided into up to 17 warring tribes. Defeating tribal leaders causes them to be absorbed into two larger, more powerful tribes. If both large tribes reach full power, they launch a massive war against each other. Defeating all chiefs leaves only scattered remnants.
- The Holy Nation launches regular raids from hidden locations after its leaders are removed. Clues in the world help track down new leaders. Raids continue until the High Priest and his men are eliminated, ending the Holy Nation permanently.
- The Shek rebuild their empire with towns, villages, and outposts emerging from ruins if they succeed in conflicts and no other factions hinder them.
- Shek and Flotsam eventually rebuild their conquests from the Holy Nation into fully functioning towns if all threats are removed.
- The Holy Nation reclaims lost lands, rebuilds old ruins, and occupies the Shek Kingdom if they push their foes out.
Installation and Compatibility:
- The mod is save game compatible but requires importing when added to an existing save.
- Place this mod as low as possible in the load order to ensure it loads last. Loading it before other mods that edit world data may cause bugs due to how town locations are stored.
- This mod is NOT compatible with Living World or Project Genesis.
