Mod «Slopeless» for Kenshi

44

This mod removes slope requirements for buildings, allowing placement on any terrain without development tools or manual dragging. It is designed for uneven terrain but functions effectively inside hill walls as well. The mod does not alter vanilla game flow, balance, or difficulty.

  • Completely removes slope constraints, enabling building placement on any surface.
  • Terrain inside building footprints is removed, allowing construction within mountain walls.
  • Increases vertical position tolerance, permitting taller structures as long as there is foundation support (default hotkeys: '-' and '=').
  • Adds a «Defensive Gate (Single Mode)» group that places like normal structures (stamping into the ground) rather than click-and-drag, offering additional building freedom.

Installation and Usage:

  • Compatible with existing saves and most other mods, including those adding new towns or buildings.
  • Place this mod at the bottom of your load order.
  • No new game or import required.
  • Buildings still follow slopes if the change slope hotkey is held (default: ']').

Known Issues:

  • The «Gate (Single Mode)» is largely redundant after recent updates but remains in the build list.
  • Structures placed deep inside harsh terrain or hill walls may behave unpredictably.
  • Balconies inside terrain can cause pathfinding errors and teleportation issues; avoid using balconies inside hills.
  • Wall placement is permitted anywhere but may look aesthetically inconsistent.
  • Building collision with other buildings is removed. Overlapped sections retain collisions and textures but lack pathfinding, which is primarily an aesthetic concern.
  • Camera collision with hills may occur when zooming from inside buildings constructed into cliffs.
