Mod «XS-905 CASTALIA» for Barotrauma

XS-905 CASTALIA is an experimental hybrid Attack/Transport Tier 2 submarine for Barotrauma.

This vessel is the lead ship of the XS-9XX Macula class, notable for being the first AHI vessels to experiment with high-energy electrical grids and a centralized alert system. After a successful career ferrying cargo and personnel through moderate depths, Castalia was retired by AHI, stripped of classified equipment, and listed for sale on the open market.

• Armament: Six guns split across three periscopes. Each periscope has a lever to switch between the top and bottom gun. Gun switching is also duplicated to buttons on the Command Console.
• Lighting Control: The Command Console includes a switch to disable external lights, including gun spotlights (hatch beacons remain active by default).
• Security: Monitor controls six cameras (three external). A switch under this position mutes the alarm system.
• Room Lighting: Lights are activated by nearby switches in the Armory, Medbay, Workshop, Quarters A & B, Cargo Hold, Storage, Bow Utility, and Fore Ballast.
• Equipment Power: Machines in the Medbay and Workshop are enabled by nearby left-hand switches.
• Armory: Depth charge launchers are armed via a left-hand switch. Launch levers will not operate unless armed.

Note: The submarine features extensive exterior detailing («greebling»). The internal wiring is complex and largely unlabeled. A Shuttle Navigation Terminal is used instead of a full Submarine Navigation Terminal as a stylistic decision.
