Mod «[DST]Briar(beta)» for Don't Starve Together
[DST] Briar (beta) is a custom character mod for Don't Starve Together. This is an incomplete trial version.
Base Attributes
- Health: 100
- Sanity: 120

Bloodthirsty Habit
Briar has a unique attribute: Blood Value (max 150).
- Blood Value decays at a rate of -75 per day.
- Eating raw meat restores Blood Value equal to 25% of the food's hunger value.
- Creatures affected by Crimson Curse provide +1 Blood Value per second.
Blood Value States
- Weakness State (Blood Value ≤ 20%):
- Movement speed -25%, walking animation changes.
- Base attack multiplier -0.25.
- Hunger rate +25%.
- Unable to use Blood Rush and Purge skills.
- Work efficiency -25%.
- Normal State (20% < Blood Value ≤ 80%):
- No negative effects of Weakness State.
- No positive effects of Excitement State.
- Excitement State (Blood Value > 80%):
- Movement speed +25%, running animation changes.
- Eyes leave red trails.
- Base attack multiplier +0.5.
- Work efficiency +25%.
- Cannot be hypnotized, but still yawns.
- Sanity slowly recovers.
Crimson Curse
Briar bears a curse from blood magic:
- Not affected by curse-related items.
- Healing effect increases as health decreases.
- No penalty to maximum health.
- Cannot receive normal healing; can only recover via bleeding or skills.
- Has night vision.
- Attacking a target applies a bleed effect called «Crimson Curse.» Each stack causes the target to take 1 damage per second, up to 10 stacks, lasting 8 seconds.
- Each cursed creature heals Briar for (0.5 + 10% of damage dealt) per tick.
- When the creature dies, Briar is instantly healed for an amount equal to the remaining stacks at death.
- Upon near death, enters a Final Struggle state, briefly becoming invulnerable and restoring to full health, then loses 10% health per second until death. During this state, Briar gains an additional 2.0 attack multiplier, 1.35 movement speed multiplier, and 2.0 work efficiency (this form is independent of the three Blood Value states).
Voracious Appetite
- Does not lose health when eating food.
- No negative effects when eating monster meat or raw meat.
- Does not care about food freshness.
- When sanity is below 30%, can right-click on herself to enter a daydream state, recalling her favorite food, continuously consuming sanity to restore hunger.
Strong Curiosity
- Can search mole holes and rabbit holes to catch creatures inside.
- Strong curiosity halves the effect of fear auras and makes her immune to sanity loss from player ghosts.
Keen Sense of Smell
- Can detect certain hidden predators and mark them.
Character Skills
Spell-casting Items are divided into two types: Bloodstone Shackle and Bloodstone Dagger.
- Bloodstone Shackle:
- Forced to equip in body slot, 90 defense.
- Can be used to cast Purge and Blood Rush.
- Bloodstone Dagger:
- 68 attack, 15% movement speed, -3 sanity.
- Can be used to cast Headbutt, Devour, and Howl.
Active Abilities
- Blood Rush: Dash in a specified direction, removing the Bloodstone Shackle and replacing it with the Bloodstone Dagger, entering Blood Rush state, gaining 1.25x attack and 25% extra movement speed.
- Purge: After a brief charge, violently slam into a designated location, dealing area damage and fear, as well as area harvesting, while removing the Bloodstone Shackle and replacing it with the Bloodstone Dagger, entering Enhanced Blood Rush state, gaining 1.5x attack and 35% extra movement speed.
- Headbutt: Jump to a designated location, dealing damage to enemies at the landing point.
- Devour: Bite creatures and food within range, dealing heavy damage to creatures and eating food within range.
- Howl: Gain damage reduction, restore health, and knock back nearby creatures, dealing heavy damage and brief fear after they land.
