Mod «Source Code of Chaos Chapter II: "Enemies" - Zero & Tsukuyo» for Don't Starve Together
Zero arrives in the Don't Starve Together adventure alongside her «pet», Tsukuyo. Most of Zero's abilities are sealed, and Tsukuyo is trapped outside the walls. Zero's dialogue consists of lines shared by both characters.
Character Abilities
- Black Invasion · Lunar Eclipse: Zero is prioritized as a target by all Shadow and Lunar faction enemies and takes 50% increased damage from them. When Sanity is above 300 or when insane, minions of Shadow or Lunar continuously spawn. If minions fail to kill Zero within 60 seconds, Tsukuyo triggers Black Invasion · Lunar Eclipse centered on Zero, consuming hunger. This instantly kills all minions and grants a special resource aligned with the minions' faction. When the special resource reaches 50 or higher, Zero is afflicted by Shadow or Lunar visual filters.
- Omniscient · Insensitive: Sanity fluctuations are reduced by 50%. Immune to all negative Sanity auras. Possesses the special abilities of the Weaver (excluding faction abilities; can insert Enlightenment Shards, Fear, Glory). Can write books but cannot read them.
- Omnilearned · Benevolent: Can memorize crafting recipes she has made. Can convert electrical components into scraps at a 1:3 ratio. Most non-faction enemies are neutral to Zero. Facing enemies directly reduces damage taken by 15%. Attacking enemies from behind deals 50% increased damage.
Let the Moon Hang and Drown, Afloat in the Night
While possessing the special resource:
- Tsukuyo grants Zero immunity to planar damage.
- Damage taken from faction enemies is reduced by 25%.
- When holding Lunar special resource: Deals extra damage to Shadow enemies equal to half the resource value, and vice versa.
- The special resource emits a Sanity aura (max ±6.67 Sanity per minute; Shadow lowers Sanity, Lunar raises it).
Zero can actively Release the resource:
- Consume 25 special resource to gain: +10 planar damage, +15% movement speed, +25% work efficiency.
- If Shadow resource is used: Immune to the next 3 instances of damage. Each immunity drains 10 Sanity. Buff lasts until all 3 immunities are used.
- If Lunar resource is used: All units except Zero gain Enlightenment. Zero gains Night Vision, and work efficiency is boosted by an extra 25% by Lunar’s blessing. Lasts 2 in-game days.
- May expend 50 special resource on another character/item to grant bonuses to both sides.
- May release resource into the opposing faction to deal damage equal to resource × 50.
- If Release is used with no resource available, Black Invasion · Lunar Eclipse triggers immediately, but Sanity is not set to 200.
- Cooldown: 2 in-game days.
Tsukuyo Hair Ornament
Occupies the head equipment slot. Items can be inserted to strengthen Tsukuyo:
- Eye Mask: 80% damage reduction.
- Dark Crystal Amulet: Gains its effects besides emitting light.
- Eyebrella: 150% water resistance.
- Thulecite Crown: Gain force field at the same chance.
- Pan Flute: Sanity aura equivalent to the Walrus Hat.
- Construction Amulet: After inserting 5, crafting costs halved. Tsukuyo has a 10% chance to craft an extra copy.
- Shadow Incense Burner: Tsukuyo pierces the Shadow’s form.
- Crown of Enlightenment: Tsukuyo crushes the Lunar’s will.
Tsukuyo's Manifestation
- Talks to you and aids in combat, especially against shadow creatures.
- Fond of Beefalo.
- Shares a 12-slot inventory with Zero.
- When well-fed, grants treasure and hunting spoils.
- If Zero carries it, Black Invasion · Lunar Eclipse becomes stronger and more stable.
Weapons (Usable by All Characters)
Tsukuyo's Tail Sword
75 damage · 1.2 range · +20% movement speed. Can perform a dash attack.
- Zero may bind the weapon via right-click, strengthening her body afterward. Deals 25% increased damage to faction enemies.
- Inserting specific items alters its abilities:
- Ruby: Prevents overheating for you and nearby allies; immune to fire damage. Evaporates wetness. Dash attack boosts fire damage taken by targets and applies smoldering.
- Sapphire: Ice breaker. Grants you and allies immunity to freezing and overcooling. Attacks freeze enemies; dash deals massive damage to frozen targets.
- Whispering Heart: Absorbs damage for allies, but greatly reduces your damage. Right-click the weapon in inventory to consume pain accumulated from taking hits and empower your next dash.
- Sand Stone: Gains toughness and power from earth and stone, but reduces speed; cannot get wet.
- Water Orb: Attacks apply wetness to yourself. Consume wetness to reduce damage taken.
- Amethyst: Attacks inflict wide-area fear. Dash entangles hit enemies with Shadow tendrils.
- Orange Gem: Dash may be used three times in a row, granting a speed boost afterward.
- Emerald: Killed enemies have a chance to drop double loot.
- Morning Star: Gains lightning properties.
- Rainbow Gem: After consumption, two items may be inserted at once.
- The Tail Sword’s faction state activates when Zero’s Sanity falls below or rises above certain thresholds. May also be triggered by inserting Glory or Fear.
- Shadow State: Amethyst modifier boosts weapon damage. Every third strike triggers a triple hit. Gains stacking effects of the Void Cowl. +25% damage to Lunar faction.
- Lunar State: Attacks gain area-of-effect. More enemies hit by dash = higher damage dealt. +25% damage to Shadow faction.
- If under both Shadow and Lunar states… Zero’s Annihilation Code activates, dealing damage that silently slays enemies.
Type-D Tsukuyo Scale Axe
Slow attack speed · 85 damage. Functions as an axe, hammer, and shovel.
- Right-click performs a blocking strike. Successful block strengthens the next right-click attack. 10-second cooldown on right-click, regardless of whether a block landed.
- May accept items to change forms. Weak when health is high, but awakens true power when health drops below 30.
- While held: raises body temperature. If too high, overheats and takes damage; repeated attacks also trigger overheat. When overheated: damage and attack speed increase, attacks become AoE.
- Warning: Removing the weapon while overheated will consume you in extreme heat. Maintain at least 120 health.
- Insert scales into the weapon’s slot to prevent removal damage and further strengthen it, enhancing daily tool functions.
- Insert Pure Glory: Reverses heat into extreme cold, turning it into an ice weapon with special empowered strike effects.
- Insert Pure Fear: Each successful block grants immunity to one attack. Shadow tentacles and abyssal spikes aid you (and strike your enemies). Note: Removing the weapon in Fear state still incinerates you with heat and Shadow. Insert scales before removing to switch states.
