Mod «[42.13] Zed's Better FPS» for Project Zomboid
[42.13] Zed's Better FPS for Project Zomboid improves frame rate by reducing rendered tiles via adjustable render distance settings.
Features:
— Adjustable render distance from 24x24 to 312x312 tiles
— Reduces rendered tiles to improve FPS performance
— Uncapped FPS control with tri-state configuration (Default/Force Uncapped/Force Capped)
— Runtime patching using ZombieBuddy framework
— Configurable through mod options menu
What it does:
Allows FPS optimization in Project Zomboid through two settings:
— Render Distance: Adjust rendered tile count for better performance
— Uncapped FPS: Control uncapped FPS with tri-state configuration
Render Distance Options:
— Default: Game’s standard calculation (typically 152x152 tiles)
— Minimum: 24x24 tiles
— Maximum: 312x312 tiles
— Mod Default: 104x104 tiles – optimized for ~95% screen coverage at 2336x1460 resolution on minimal zoom
Uncapped FPS Options:
— Default: Keeps current in-game setting
— Force Uncapped: Enables uncapped FPS
— Force Capped: Disables uncapped FPS
Uncapped FPS changes apply immediately. Reload your savegame after changing render distance for changes to take effect—the render engine initializes at load time.
Requires: ZombieBuddy framework.
