Customize your survivor with functional and cosmetic contact lenses. This mod is designed for players using the Short Sighted trait, adding realistic eye care mechanics with significant benefits and risks.
Benefits

• Cures Short Sightedness: Wearing any contact lens completely restores vision.
• Headgear Compatible: Unlike glasses, lenses allow you to wear gas masks, full crash helmets, and welding masks without vision loss.
• Secure Fit: Lenses stay in place during combat or while moving through obstacles, unlike glasses that can be knocked off.

New Items

• Contact Lenses: Find blank (transparent) and colored lenses (Blue, Green, Purple, Red, Yellow) in bathrooms and medical areas.
• Eye Drops: Instantly cures 25% of eye irritation.

Eye Irritation Mechanics Leaving lenses on for too long causes eye irritation. Sleeping with lenses on results in severe irritation.

• Level 1 & 2: Causes mild irritation and burning.
• Level 3 (75% Irritation): Causes Eye Strain. You take continuous damage (0.8 health) until irritation drops below 75%.
• Level 4 (100% Irritation): Causes Extreme Irritation. You take heavy continuous damage (2.0 health).
  • Warning: Removing lenses does not stop damage immediately. Damage continues while irritation slowly fades over time. Reaching 100% without Eye Drops can be fatal.

Configuration

• Adjust spawn rates for lenses and eye drops in Sandbox settings.
• Disable the irritation system entirely to use lenses purely for cosmetic purposes.

Compatibility

• Safe to add or remove mid-save.
• If added mid-save, items will only appear in unexplored areas and unseen containers.
• Supported Languages: English, Portuguese (PTBR), Spanish, French, German, Polish, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Russian.
