Computer Mod

This mod transforms useless computers in Project Zomboid into fully functional machines with their own operating system. Players can reset disks, install an OS, customize settings, set passwords, browse websites, download and install games, read magazines and newspapers, watch movies, burn CDs, and chat with other players.

• Playable Games: Includes 13 playable games that reduce boredom, stress, and sadness. Losing a game increases stress. Games can be installed via found Game CDs or downloaded from knoxshare.bbs in the browser. Downloads continue in the background as long as the computer is not fully shut down.
• Applications: Comes with Notepad, Browser, Calculator, Mail, Board, Chat, and Music Player (currently non-functional). The Board allows public chatting with other computer owners. Chat (Knox Messenger) enables private messaging after sending a request. Hidden websites can be discovered by checking notepad files and emails on found computers.
• Magazine System: Recipe magazines can be found in folders on computers or downloaded from hidden websites. They can be read and learned directly from the screen.
• Disk Resetting, Hacking, and OS Installation: Password-protected computers can be accessed by knowing the password, resetting the disk, or hacking. Hacking requires a Hack CD and Electrical level 1; it involves a mini-game to remove the password. Resetting the disk via BIOS deletes all data, including the OS. A new OS must be installed using PZ OS CDs found in the world.
• CD Resetting and Burning: Inserted CDs can be reset and used to burn installed games onto them. These CDs can then be used to install games on other computers. Blank CDs spawn in the world.
• Customization: Players can set, remove, or change passwords; set profile pictures; change computer names; change background colors; and create, rename, or delete folders. Desktop applications and folders can be moved by dragging.
