Mod «Faiths & Traditions: Miracles of the End» for Project Zomboid

Faiths & Traditions: Miracles of the End is a work-in-progress mod for Project Zomboid Build 42. Core systems are implemented, but full testing in single-player, hosted multiplayer, and dedicated server environments is ongoing. Users should expect balance changes and potential bugs.

This mod introduces belief paths, readable faith books, progression systems, rituals, and rare ultimate abilities that can be used once per real-world day.

• Selectable, mutually exclusive belief traits: Pagan, Christian, Buddhist, Atheist/Skeptic, and Occultist.
• Faith-themed books, codices, and ritual items.
• Loot distribution for churches, bookstores, libraries, cabins, caches, and related locations.
• Reading books grants faith XP for matching paths.
• Faith levels range from 1 to 5.
• Basic timed rituals for each faith path.
• Server-owned real-world ultimate ability cooldowns.
• Pagan: Nature's Mercy attempts to cure bite infections.
• Buddhist: Perfect Stillness suppresses hunger and thirst.
• Atheist/Skeptic: Emotional Shutdown provides a survival-focus state.
• Christian: Walk With Jesus offers protection and capped thunder waves.
• Occultist: Bind the Dead creates a temporary bound zombie servant.
• Occultist: Dead Veil suppresses zombie targeting while Bound Dead is nearby.
• Faith status panel displays XP, level, cooldown, and active effects.

Balance and Multiplayer Notes:

• Ultimate powers are designed to be rare and server-authoritative.
• The default cooldown is 24 real-world hours and can be adjusted via sandbox options.
• Powerful effects include caps, failure chances, or cleanup mechanisms by default.
• Server owners can disable or weaken most extreme abilities in sandbox settings.

Testing Status: This is a private-test build. Lua syntax and local stubs have passed, but full in-game testing in single-player, hosted multiplayer, and dedicated server environments is recommended before broad public use.
