Mod «Low-Tech Reservoir Planter» for Project Zomboid

The Low-Tech Reservoir Planter is a vanilla-friendly farming support mod constructed from scavenged materials, including a water dispenser bottle, cloth wicks, compost, fertilizer, and worms. It maintains the standard farming mechanics while automatically providing water, nutrients, and growth acceleration without requiring electricity.

The furrow created by this planter is a standard vanilla furrow placed on the same tile. Consequently, actions such as sowing seeds, treating diseases and pests, harvesting, removing plant remains, and digging new furrows adhere to the base game's farming system.

Features:

• Auto-watering using a 15L reservoir.
• Automatic application of fertilizer or compost from an internal container with 30 capacity.
• Growth acceleration for crop growth stages 1 through 6.
• Creates a vanilla furrow on the same tile upon construction.
• Supports indoor farming and farming on non-ground levels (e.g., rooftops).
• Includes sandbox options for watering mode, growth acceleration, indoor farming, rooftop/non-ground level farming, planting month rules, and winter season penalties.

Auto-watering activates every 20 in-game minutes. Growth acceleration ceases at growth stage 7 (the flowering stage).

Sandbox Options:

• Auto-Watering Mode: «Low-tech mode» fills crop water to 100%; «Convenience mode» fills only up to the crop’s required water level.
• Growth Acceleration: Adjusts the acceleration value, applying only to growth stages 1 to 6.
• Indoor Farming: Default setting allows crops planted on the planter to grow indoors. If set to vanilla rules, indoor crops follow standard restrictions.
• Not on Ground Level Farming: Default setting allows new furrows to be dug on planter tiles located on rooftops or upper floors. This option applies exclusively to planter tiles and does not alter placement rules for standard vanilla furrows. Disable if performance or gameplay issues occur in large bases or servers.
• Planting Month Rules: Default setting respects vanilla month rules. An optional setting relaxes month-based planting restrictions and penalties for crops planted on the planter.
• Winter Season Penalty: Default setting respects vanilla winter rules. An optional setting relaxes additional penalties associated with the Winter season flag. Actual temperature and cold damage remain governed by vanilla rules.

How to Use:

1. Build the Low-Tech Reservoir Planter from the Farming category in the building menu.
2. Sow seeds on the furrow created on top of the planter.
3. Fill the reservoir with water to enable automatic watering.
4. Store compost and fertilizer in the internal container for automatic application.
5. After harvesting, remove remaining plant matter and dig a new furrow on the planter before replanting.
