Update Notes – Lard Butchering System – Version 3.0

  • Added a new butchering feature: animals now drop Lard (Base.Lard) when processed
  • Replaced the original butter concept with lard for improved realism and balance
  • Fixed inconsistent drop behavior caused by minNb and maxNb being affected by internal scaling
  • Switched to the vanilla-supported nb value to ensure exact item drops with no randomness
  • Lard drop values are now fixed: Cow → 12, Pig → 6, Deer → 5, Sheep → 3
  • Drop amounts are balanced based on animal size for better progression and realism
  • Fully integrated into the existing animal parts system without breaking current features
  • No vanilla files overwritten, maintaining compatibility with most other mods

Update Notes – Version 2.5

  • Added butter (Base.Butter) as a new randomized drop from animals during butchering, with cows yielding the highest amounts and pigs, deer, and sheep dropping smaller quantities
  • Butter is integrated alongside existing meat cuts, creating a more dynamic and rewarding butchering system without altering vanilla mechanics
  • Fully compatible with existing drops

Meat Expansion – Version 2.0

  • Major overhaul focused on balance, realism, and fixing item behavior and UI issues
  • Raw meats are now dangerous, causing hunger increase, unhappiness, and poison when eaten uncooked
  • Cooked meats now provide strong benefits, reducing hunger significantly and improving mood
  • Fixed display issues so all items correctly show as Food instead of FoodRaw or FoodCooked
  • Resolved script errors and ensured all item properties apply properly in-game
  • Icons resized to 18x18 and overall balance improved to reinforce Raw = Risk, Cooked = Reward

This mod reworks and expands animal butchering drops. Instead of getting small, limited amounts of meat, animals now provide larger and more satisfying yields, along with additional food items depending on the animal.

This mod focuses purely on animal drops and butchering results. It should be compatible with most mods, but anything that edits animal loot tables may conflict.
