Mod «Post Soviet Armory B42» for Project Zomboid

Post-Soviet Armory for Build 42 is the continuation of the original PSA project, rebuilt and expanded for the new era of the game. Most of the mod was reworked from the ground up. Code, balancing, weapon handling, and progression were redesigned with one goal in mind: making every firearm feel believable, distinct, and grounded in reality.

PSA adds more than 140 weapons and items from the post-Soviet world before 1993, organized into immersive and logical tiers. Every weapon has its place. A worn Makarov will not perform like a modern OTs Kobalt. Fold a stock and you gain mobility at the cost of control. Cut down a barrel and recoil becomes harder to manage. Every advantage comes with a trade-off.

Several new systems were developed specifically for PSA. Bayonets can be mounted for proper close combat. Foldable stocks can be switched on the fly. Suppressors were redesigned to behave more realistically. They reduce noise, but they do not make firearms silent.

The overall direction of PSA is realism first. Firearms are loud, recoil matters, and suppressors only reduce noise instead of turning weapons silent. Attachments are limited to weapons that realistically support them, and every firearm was balanced around believable handling and performance rather than arcade gameplay. PSA is built to make weapons feel authentic within the limits of Project Zomboid.

• Works with vanilla-style weapon mods. If vanilla guns/ammo are not disabled in sandbox settings, PSA runs alongside them, otherwise it functions as a fully standalone arsenal.

• Is it compatible with other gun mods? PSA should work with most gun mods as long as they do not modify core vanilla firearm logic.
