Mod «Tank Water» for Project Zomboid
«Tank Water» adds a realistic industrial water storage system to Project Zomboid. Large-scale tanks appear in farms, warehouses, construction sites, and industrial zones. Not all tanks contain water—some may sustain your survival, others offer nothing after the shutoff.
Features
— Adds industrial water tanks with capacities: 1200 L (S), 2000 L (M), 5000 L (L), 10000 L (XL)
— Tanks spawn naturally in relevant locations
— Each tank stores a variable amount of water and can be full or empty
How It Works
— Water is moved using a motor pump and transfer hose
— Hose connections are site-to-site with distance limits
— Different hoses support different maximum ranges
— Pumping uses fuel and causes gradual wear
— All actions—transfer, extraction, cleaning—are progressive
Inspection & Interface
— Interactive UI for tanks and pump
— Shows tank type, capacity, stored water, percentage, and progress bar
— Displays pump fuel, condition, status, and connection state
Skills & Requirements
— Operating/repairing the pump requires: Electricity Level 1, Mechanics Level 2
— Required skills and tools shown in inspection panel
Tools Required
— Screwdriver
— Vise Grips
Gameplay Focus
— Supports long-term survival and base planning
— Encourages realistic water management
— Scales from mid-game to late-game
Compatibility
— Works in singleplayer and multiplayer
— Safe to add to existing saves
— No vanilla files overwritten
— No sandbox options needed
— Incompatible with Dynamic Backpack Updates
Mod Interaction
— Standalone system; does not auto-integrate with other water mods
— Water transfer only via Tank Water’s pump and hose
— Does not connect to [B42] Functional Gutters or plumbing mods
— Vanilla rain collectors remain unaffected
Notes
— No external dependencies
— Balanced to match vanilla feel
— Designed for Build 42
