Mod «Weapons of the Orient - Eastern Martial Arsenal [B42]» for Project Zomboid

Weapons of the Orient is a lore-friendly weapon mod created for Project Zomboid Build 42. It introduces historically accurate arsenals from Japan, China, and other Eastern cultures. The mod functions independently, though it includes a dependency for the Nihontō mod. Without Nihontō, the Kanabō will be carried as a standard two-handed weapon instead of over the shoulder.

Current Arsenal & Features:

• Tetsubō (鉄砕棒): A heavy, iron-studded war club. It offers versatility, functioning as either a one-handed weapon or a brutal two-handed crusher depending on your strength. It provides decent speed and high durability, making it effective for managing smaller groups.
• Kanabō (金棒): A massive two-handed powerhouse resembling a sledgehammer. It requires high endurance but can crush zombie skulls and knock them down with a single swing.
• Crafting & Knowledge: Find the manuscript «Jade and Iron» in the world to unlock the secrets of forging and carving these traditional blunt weapons.
• Loot Distribution: Weapons spawn in appropriate locations such as gun stores, rare weapon crates, and survivor caches, with very rare occurrences in mundane locations.

Technical Details:

• Custom 3D Models: Built in Blender with optimized low-poly meshes for multiplayer performance.
• Custom Textures: Fully baked PBR textures featuring iron, wood, and brass inlays.
• Dynamic Mod Integration: If the Nihontō mod is active, equipping the Kanabō enables a custom animation mask for realistic over-the-shoulder carrying. The pose shifts back to combat stance when engaging enemies.
• Compatibility: Safe to add to existing save games; items will spawn in newly explored areas. Tested and compatible with multiplayer servers.
• Build 42 Ready: Utilizes new speed parameters, weight-endurance mechanics, and the revamped crafting system.

Future Roadmap:

The arsenal will expand to include traditional Chinese weapons like the Dadao (大刀), Jian (劍), and massive polearms, as well as Japanese additions such as the Yari and Naginata with more custom crafting variations.
